SkillBridge Overview
At SCIPP, we see endless possibilities in the world of cyber! We recognize how employers lack the cyber talent to prevent billion-dollar losses due to cybercrime, and we know there are not enough job-ready candidates to fill tens of thousands of positions. In Virginia alone, 70% of employers have been victimized by cybercrime, and SCIPP wants to offer these employers access to a pipeline of cyber candidates who have hands-on experience, cyber certifications, university certificates, security clearances, and employer endorsements. Through SCIPP, we offer cybersecurity education and on-the-job training for active duty military, veterans, and underserved populations seeking a career in cybersecurity in order to help close the cyber talent gap currently affecting all sectors worldwide.
SCIPP is looking to train and employ the next generation of cyber security crime stoppers and leaders in a world that is driven by data and uncertainty with ever-changing threats. Through SkillBridge, our goal is to offer Service members the opportunity to gain valuable civilian cybersecurity experience through training and internships. SCIPP’s SkillBridge Program connects Service members with industry partners and cyber training providers to help them build a successful career in cybersecurity.
As of July 2021, SCIPP International is qualified to offer Service members full-time and part-time internships and on-the-job cyber training. The following opportunities are readily available to all military service members within 180 days of their separation date.
